Village Church Gröben

The village Gröben is a village district of Ludwigsfelde and was first recorded in 1352.

The church was consecrated in 1508 and is through this not actually a medieval church. It has the most different wall constructions. The annex at the south side is mostly plastered; otherwise it is merely groove plaster. The entrance to the church is the several times staged west portal with brick walls in the tower. The tower got its presentappearance at the rebuilding in the year1909. The roofs are covered with very different roof tiles.

The churchhas been ornamentally painted in lively colours. Pews and altar are simple. The painting as well as the furniture stem from the rebuilding in the year of rebuilding in the year 1909. Coloured windows have been placed at the tower's ground floor as well as in the Chorpolyvon.

The church burned down to its foundations in 1908.Today's building was created during the rebuilding.
The church is open daily.
