The 100km Skating Experience south of Berlin

The Fl�ming-Skate was opened officially on the 25th August 2002.

On the over 100km long and 3m wide round path covered with the finest tarmac skater as well as cyclists and wheelchair users can�roll through the charming landscape of the of Baruther glacial valley and the Lower Fl�ming.

Along the route, probably Germany's biggest, 18 resting areas with wooden huts were built.�Small villages,� stone churches, historical mills and lots of other contemporary witnesses line the route.

In addition to the skating route ca 40km cycling paths were created, which are narrower and have a rougher surface but can still be used by skater.

The Fl�ming-Skate offers ideal conditions for day trips, weekend breaks or a longer holiday with bicycles or inline-skates.

The whole region profits from the Fl�ming-Skate, especially the hotels, bed and breakfasts accommodations,pubs and last but not least the sports shops, which sell and hire out inline-skates.

While visiting the Fl�ming-Skate one shouldn't miss the points of interests of the surrounding area like the Monastery Zinna,the Palace Wiepersdorf, the old town of J�terbog or Dahme.

By now the Fl�ming-Skate has found many followers in Germany and Europe. The band of fans grows from day to day.

Since the 28th of August 2004 skating fans can now enjoy a further attraction. A Speedskate-Arena (lane, field and training jumping course) was opened at the former riding stadium J�terbog.
